Child Dental Benefits Scheme

Your children might be eligible for up to $1000 worth of Medicare-funded treatment over a two-year period.

You can confirm your child's eligibility and balance amount by accessing your Medicare online account at my.gov.au or calling the Medicare general enquiries line on 132 011.

USING THE SCHEME

  1. Check out that you are eligible. Phone 132 011 or our staff can assist you
  2. Give our receptionists your Medicare card number and let them know you are eligible.
  3. Let the dentist know your child is eligible please. This is because we need to use different item numbers for the treatment. (Same care and same treatment)
  4. You will need to sign a consent form because Medicare wants to make sure that you understand any costs.
  5. You can still used your health fund for items such as mouthguard which are not covered by this scheme.

Children between the ages of two and 17 will benefit.

Benefits cover a range of services including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions.

Our Dental Health Commitment

We are committed to minimal intervention dentistry. This means that we will help aim to work with you so your children's teeth remain "filling free".
Advance research has shown that initial stages of dental decay or caries can often be halted and teeth can remain unfilled for life.

We will monitor and watch and decide with you on each child's best dental care – rather than just filling teeth.

Mark has represented his profession in the highly regarded position of ADA VB President and is a consultant in his field, yet he is consistent, approachable and has the highest regard for his patients wellbeing.
